We bought a Ford Duetto 
Campervan, now affectionately known as, Betsy.

We love her so much and are so proud of her tenacious spirit taking us on all our adventures. She has taken us up mountains, down valleys, through towns. To some of the most picturesque scenery in the world. She doesn’t complain when the tom tom (GPS navigational system) sends us on wild goose chases. Like through fields, tracks and even a drain pipe in Italy once!! Not kidding!!
She is not a turbo. Which in fairness if we were looking at finding one again, we would definitely see as a major bonus.
Her layout is absolutely perfect for our family. Shower, toilet, gas cooking, full width of van sleeping area (7ft).
Having owned campervans before, we knew that any vehicle over 10 years, the fridges are not reliable. So, we bought a portable compressor fridge – which was WELL worth it. This also saves us a LOT on gas. Of course more importantly it means cold beer!!
We are uncertain what we will do with Betsy at the end of our UK & Europe travels. Sell her or ship her elsewhere. Time will tell. But one thing is for certain, there are many more adventures to be had with our girl.
